Where is Honeymoon Farm?

Honeymoon Farm is a wedding venue in Aurora, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley. We're a private home and working farm with a historic barn, open fields, woodland and riverside property.

We're an easy drive from Portland, making Honeymoon Farm a unique wedding venue near Portland while still feeling like you're somewhere far away from the city.

How many people can you accommodate?

We can host weddings and events of up to 100 guests. We also offer elopement pricing for smaller celebrations, making Honeymoon Farm a good fit for couples looking for an intimate wedding venue in Oregon.

What's included?

Your rental includes the farm, our historic 3,000-square-foot barn, surrounding event spaces, folding tables, basic chairs, string lighting and a PA system.

Our historic barn and surrounding grounds offer the setting you'd expect from an Oregon farm wedding venue, with options for outdoor ceremonies, receptions and celebrations.

Farm tables, furniture and props are also available to use with our approval.

The historic schoolhouse is available as an additional rental for $350/day and can be used for getting ready, ceremonies or photos. It has running water and a portable bathroom.

The property and barn are wheelchair accessible, although some areas of the working farm are naturally uneven.

How much does it cost to rent Honeymoon Farm?

Our standard wedding rental is $5,450 and includes a three-day rental of the farm and our 3,000-square-foot historic barn.

• Friday: 2–6pm for setup and rehearsal
• Saturday: 10am–10pm for your wedding
• Sunday: 8am–12pm for cleanup and vendor pickup

Additional hours are available with prior approval for $200/hour.

Do you host events other than weddings?

Yes! Honeymoon Farm is available for full-farm private events at $2,500/day.

We're a great setting for corporate off-sites, family reunions, retreats, celebrations, dinners and other gatherings that benefit from a little more space and a beautiful, relaxed setting.

Can photographers and filmmakers use the property?

Yes. We welcome photographers and filmmakers to Honeymoon Farm for editorial work, portraits, engagement sessions, short films, commercial productions and other creative projects.

Photography sessions are $75/hour, with a two-hour minimum. Filming and larger productions are quoted based on the scope and requirements of the project.

We'd love to hear what you're working on and find the right way to make use of the farm.

Can we use the schoolhouse?

Yes! Our historic 1907 schoolhouse is available as an additional rental for $350/day, subject to availability.

It's a beautiful option for getting ready, a smaller ceremony/elopement, or photos. It has running water, a small kitchen area, and a portable bathroom on site.

Is there a bathroom at the main venue?

Because Honeymoon Farm is also our private residence, we require couples to arrange mobile restroom facilities for their event. We're happy to recommend local companies that provide elevated restroom options.

Do we need a wedding planner?

Yes. All weddings are required to have a professional Wedding Planner or Day-of Coordinator involved from the time of booking.

If you don't have one yet, we're happy to recommend some of our favorite local professionals.

Can we have a rehearsal?

Yes! Your Friday rental includes four hours from 2-6pm, which can be used for your rehearsal and setup.

There is an option for hosting a rehearsal dinner on site as an add-on, with your own outside catering or making use of our on site chef (aka Erik) to create and serve a custom farm-to-table menu for up to 20 guests.

Can we choose our own vendors?

Absolutely. You'll provide us with a list of your vendors and coordinate their arrival and setup times with your Planner or Coordinator. We also have a list of recommended vendors should you need guidance on that!

Can photographers use the property?

Yes! Photographers are welcome to use Honeymoon Farm for portraits, editorial sessions, engagement sessions and other photography projects.

Photography use is $75/hour, with a two-hour minimum. Please contact us in advance to schedule your session and discuss the areas of the property you'd like to use.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes. Alcohol is welcome, but it must be handled and served by your catering company or a licensed bar service.

Can we bring our own décor?

Yes! We want the space to feel like your wedding.

You're welcome to bring your own décor and rentals. Because we're working with a historic barn, some types of attachments require approval, and large rentals such as tents need to be arranged with us in advance.

We are also decor nerds over here, so we have a small library of decor rental options available as an add-on if you want one less thing to worry about!

Do you offer flowers or floral design?

We do! While you're welcome to bring in your own florist and flowers, Honeymoon Farm also offers floral services as an optional add-on for couples who would like us to create arrangements for their event.

Can we take photos on the property?

Definitely. There are lots of beautiful spots around the farm for First Looks, portraits and candid photos, and we're happy to point you toward our favorites.

The schoolhouse is also available as an additional option for getting ready or photos.

What happens if it rains?

Honeymoon Farm is primarily an outdoor venue, so we encourage couples to have a weather plan.

The barn can serve as a backup option for an outdoor ceremony or reception. We don't offer refunds due to weather.

Where do people park?

We have on-site parking in the field behind the buildings, with room for up to 70 vehicles.

Where do guests stay?

There are a number of lodging options in the surrounding area, and we're happy to share recommendations.

One especially convenient option is Meridian House at Whiskey Hill Store, located just down the road from Honeymoon Farm. The house sleeps up to 10 guests, making it a great option for your wedding party, family or a group of friends.

Can we visit before booking?

Yes! We want you to get a feel for the property before your wedding.

Your rental also includes two one-hour planning visits, plus a final consultation with our Venue Manager about 30 days before your event.

How does booking work?

A date can be held for up to seven days without a deposit. To officially reserve your date, you'll sign the rental agreement and pay the $500 reservation deposit, which also serves as your cleaning and damage deposit.

The remaining rental balance is paid in installments, with the final balance due one month before your event.

What does cleanup look like?

You and your vendors are responsible for leaving the property as you found it. All décor, food, rentals and personal items need to be removed by the end of your rental period.

We'll provide a cleanup checklist so you know exactly what needs to be done.

Thankfully, our 3-day bookings give you extra hours on Sunday to arrange for rental pick up and cleaning time.
